BORRELL has begun setting up a dedicated manufacturing and assembly cell in Merced for its AI-powered CX optical sorters

BORRELL USA continues to expand its manufacturing capabilities in California as part of the company’s long-term strategy to increase its industrial footprint in the United States.

Following the delivery of the first machines manufactured entirely in the U.S. for integration into an almond blanching line, BORRELL has already started a new phase of its California manufacturing expansion: the creation of a dedicated manufacturing and assembly cell in Merced for the CX range of AI-powered optical sorters.

On August 13, Borrell USA attended the Yorizane Almond Harvest Field Day, hosted by Duarte Nursery at the Duarte DeWitt Ranch in Modesto, California.

The event offered growers and industry professionals the opportunity to see live harvest demonstrations and learn more about the advantages and possibilities of the Yorizane almond variety, including its early harvest, high production potential and easy-shake characteristics.

Borrell USA Corp. participated in the Prospero Grand Opening & Hiring Event on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 635 Fairfield Drive in Merced.

The event marked the official transformation of Worknet Merced County into Prospero, a newly redesigned workforce center connecting local employers with skilled talent.

Borrell USA was recruiting for positions in office operations and fabrication. Job seekers had the opportunity to visit our table, meet our team, and learn more about career opportunities with our growing manufacturing operation in Merced.

BORRELL USA exhibited at the Almond Day 2026, held on June 3, 2026, at the Fresno Fairgrounds in Fresno, California. Organized by JCS Marketing, the event brought together almond growers, processors, handlers, researchers, PCA professionals, suppliers, and companies connected to California’s almond industry.

As one of the newest industry events focused specifically on the California almond sector, Almond Day served as an important meeting point for networking, technology, innovation, and discussion around the current challenges and future opportunities facing the industry.

From May 12 to 14, 2026, BORRELL participated in the INC World Nut & Dried Fruit Congress 2026, organized by the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council (INC) and held at the Galaxy International Convention Center in Macao.

This leading international congress brought together the global nut and dried fruit industry in one of the most dynamic business hubs in Asia, offering a unique platform for networking, market insight, strategic discussion, and international business development.

From April 27 to 30, 2026, Borrell USA participated as a Brand Sponsor and exhibitor in the 44th Annual Almond Alliance Convention, organized by the Almond Alliance and held at the Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach, California.

The event brought together growers, huller-shellers, processors, industry partners, and key stakeholders from across the almond sector, creating an excellent forum for discussion, networking, and business development at a particularly important time for the California almond industry.

On May 1, 2026, Borrell USA participated as an exhibitor in Duarte Nursery’s 28th Annual Friends Day, organized by Duarte Nursery at its facilities in Hughson, California.

The event brought together growers, farm workers, handlers, processors, suppliers, service providers, and many other members of this great agricultural industry in a special and welcoming setting for networking, learning, and strengthening relationships across the sector.

Borrell USA Corp continues to expand its operations in California, including assembly, manufacturing, and technical support capabilities. World Ag Expo is the largest annual agricultural show of its kind, with 1,200+ exhibitors and an estimated 100,000+ attendees from approximately 70 countries.

During the event, we presented several groundbreaking innovations and new technologies that marked a major leap forward for nut processing, including the Borrell Smart Sorter® Vision. We also highlighted key technological milestones achieved as we continued consolidating our expansion plans in the United States, including the growth of our engineering, manufacturing, and assembly operations in California.
